In the age of technology taking over our world, our love story did not start by meeting each other at the local soda shop and splitting a milkshake. We both swiped right on Bumble and our match was made! Bryson was working night shift and Amanda worked during the day, so finding the opportune moment to meet was a challenge. After some back and forth, they finally decided to meet at Cracker Barrel for breakfast (dinner to him). They already knew from chatting on Bumble that they shared the same values when it came to their faith and a love for their country, so talking face to face should be a breeze. It was just that. The conversation flowed and they were both comfortable from the start. After sharing a hug and a kiss in the parking lot, neither one of them wanted to call it a day. Bryson was going to go straight to bed after having a long night at work, but didn’t want to wait for a second date. A few hours later, they met up at Seven Bridges for cocktails and more conversation. It was the fastest turn around time for a second date for each of them. Amanda had plans to see a charity boxing match for policeman and firefighters at VyStar Indoor Arena, and invited him to come along for date #3. Three dates in one day. Who would’ve thought? Our relationship has grown faster than either of us could’ve predicted, but the feeling we get when we’re around each other puts us at a state of love and ease that’s hard to come by in this stressful thing we call life. Our biggest challenge was Bryson’s six month long deployment and Amanda’s hectic travel schedule for BrightDrop. Once again, with the power of technology we were able to communicate daily and remind ourselves why were fighting to stay together - because we love each other, and no distance is too great to keep Bryson from his Mandy.
